One of the main tasks of the National Police as stated in Law Number 2 of 2022 is to provide protection, protection and service to the community. In an effort to realize their duties according to the law, the Jambi Regional Police have several sections in carrying out their duties. One of them, Ditintelkam (Intelligence and Security Directorate) through the Administrative Services Section (Sie Yanmin) provides services to the public in the form of issuing Police Record Certificates (SKCK) and permits for social, political activities and involving foreigners.
Specifically related to the issuance of SKCK, in practice several obstacles were encountered, namely filling in forms was still done manually / using paper, limited information received by applicants so that applicants still found incomplete requirements, long queues, and SKCK applicants who were not in Jambi Province. Not only that, another obstacle encountered was that there was no system that could check the criminality data of the applicant as a support for the validity of the SKCK and evaluate the track record of the permit applicant. These things become inhibiting factors in the implementation of administrative services in the Police.
These constraints are deemed necessary for the birth of a new system in handling problems, which has the concept of supervision, collaboration and synergy. As well as in supporting the 100 working days of the National Police Chief and realizing the figure of a Precise and Innovative National Police, therefore the Jambi Regional Police Dirintelkam as the project leader raised a change project, namely the Development of an Administrative Service Information System based on the SKCK Online Ditintelkam Application (Directorate of Intelligence and Security) as an Effort to Safeguard The validity of the SKCK at the Jambi Regional Police. The development of this application is intended to make it easier to access service information, which is enough through a smartphone, the public can access the website or download the online SKCK application, where all information regarding the creation and extension of SKCK can be displayed in a structured and clear manner. In addition, the security of the applicant's and officer's data can be guaranteed by the system.
