SHWAS SWDS

Urban Management Centre has developed SHWAS SWDS app as part of SHWAS (Breath- in Sanskrit), a platform facilitating recognition and social & financial security of sanitation workers. The app is currently being used by MAWS, Tamil Nadu for identification of sanitation workers directly dealing with liquid waste.
SHWAS has built-in tools for quality data collection and identifying gaps in provision of entitlements such as minimum wages, insurance, healthcare etc. serving as a tool for ULBs and concerned departments to support sanitation workers and their families in accessing these.
