The story begins with a new object arriving at the Foundation's research center - a mysterious cassette. The chief scientist of the center instructs Dr. Roy to learn about its properties, providing him with Class D agents to conduct experiments.
Dr. Roy begins the investigation, instructing his assistant to lead the agent to a room isolated from the laboratory. Only the agent and the broadcasting device should be in the room.
Nothing happens for the first few seconds on the tape, and then the show starts playing. The agent says he sees the cast of the show suffocate and stop showing signs of life. And then he himself is subjected to the mystical influence of the object, suffocates and dies. An unexpected ending for the study.
